Artist Statement

What Drew Me to This Particular Book? Most of the modern covers fundamentally misunderstand the author’s intentions. When interviewed Sinclair regretted that his book became popular mainly because the public didn't want to eat contaminated meat. His true target wage slavery and workers rights two topics that continue to be extremely relevant in the modern age. What Moves Me About This Book? Sinclair’s use of imagery. Sinclair’s capacity for creating empathy. — Brendan Hawthorne
